Check your cd player. When the body pack transmitter is turned off, the receiver now is available for anything else, like the cd player. If your not using the cd player turn it off until needed. Otherwise be sure to turn off any mic’s that won’t be used. mailto:tech@procablesnsound.com?subject=FAQ
Muffled sounding vocals no matter what I do. Bass and guitar are too loud even though they are turned down: You may be hearing the monitors very loud. Because the are facing away from you they will sound muffled. Monitors are nice to have and essential for large or loud bands. But if your in a small setting or a low ceiling area they will create problems. As the band gets going things get loud onstage. The guitar player needs more bass and vocals (vox), the vocalists need more of everything and pretty soon the stage noise is louder than the front of house (FOH). Instead of bringing up levels in monitors and FOH, try bringing other things down or out. This will help you maintain a decent sound level without having it escalate throughout the performance. When you bring UP something you couldn’t hear instead of bringing other channels down you create a competition for sound instead of a smooth blend of music. mailto:tech@procablesnsound.com?subject=FAQ
Why do your cables cost so much/little? Depending on who you talk too we are either too expensive or too cheap. The easy one to start with is the "why are we so inexpensive?". If you have ever purchased professional grade cables before you know how expensive they can be. You can expect to pay $75 to $125 for a typical 50 foot speaker cable and don't even start with snake prices! Ouch! We build the same quality cables that the expensive places do. We use the same parts, same grade if not better cable and detail our cables like a professional would want them to be. The cost difference is we are a small company that has very little overhead. This helps us keep our expensive cables inexpensive. Better yet, not only are we cost competitive we also make your cables just for "YOU".
Why are we so expensive? If you compare us to companies that manufacture overseas using inferior cable and connectors we will never be able match the prices they offer. If you compare us to companies that mass produce and use molded end connectors we will never be able to match the prices they offer either. You get what you pay for, every time! We build excellent cables at a very fair price. We only use components that you would find in our gig boxes so we know they work great and will last you a long time. What is that price worth? Remember, your cables never fail while they are in the box. They only fail when you need them and that is typically in front of an audience or client. Priceless. mailto:tech@procablesnsound.com?subject=FAQ
